(Personal Experience) Easy Prawn Ball Recipe with Smashed Prawn Paste + Bonus Recipe
For many people, the memory of their favourite foods dates back to childhood. I am no exception, and when I think of the most delicious and memorable dishes, I always think of the wonderful Prawn Paste and Cucumber my grandmother made when I was a child.
I was introduced to this dish when I stayed at my grandparents’ house years ago.
The combination of prawn paste and cucumber is the best. These days, I usually eat this dish as a side dish with rice. I love making this dish when my family visits, as they love it so much.

Prawn Paste and Cucumber
Ingredients
- EB MyDaun Prawn Paste
- Egg
- Cucumber
- Onion
- Garlic
- Coriander
- Millet pepper
Instructions
Making the Sauce
- Finely chop the onion, garlic, coriander, and millet
- Put 4 tablespoon soy sauce + 2 tablespoon vinegar + 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce + 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil + 1 teaspoon sugar + 1 teaspoon salt + 1 teaspoon chicken essence in a bowl, add a little water
- Stir well and refrigerate.
Steps
- Bring the water to a boil in a pot. Pop the prawn paste from the tray into the pot.
- Wait for it to boil, drain and set aside.
- Finally, dip the prawn paste into the sauce and add the sliced shrimp and cucumber.

Ingredients

- 6 Okra
- Starch
- Oyster sauce
- Water
Instructions
- First you need to peel the okra in half, then scrape out the seeds.
- Next, prepare the prawn paste, and oyster sauce.
- Cut the okra in half, scrape out the seeds, and add the ingredients to a bowl.
- Mix Prawn paste with the okra seeds, add one-third or less of the starch, and marinade with the oyster sauce for 10 minutes.
- Stuff okra with prawn paste.
- Heat the oil in a wok, scrape off the bottoms of the prawn paste, and fry them until they change color.
